Inner thigh lifts
An isolation exercise targeting the adductors, a key muscle group not to be overlooked.

Every individual has different fitness levels and physical ability, so it is important to ensure you do the correct volume for you. An idea of a way to set up could be 3 sets of 10 reps.
Why am I doing this exercise?
- Activates the inner thigh muscles
- Improves hip strength
- Supports stability of knee
How to do this exercise:
1. Lie on a matt or comfortable surface on your side
2. Use the hand on top to rest on the floor for support
3. Place the top leg in front of you with your knee bent
4. Slowly lift the bottom leg upwards as high as you can without twisting your body
5. Slowly return to the original position
6. Repeat on the other side
Tips to improve:
- Keep your core braced throughout
- Remain controlled throughout the whole movement
- To increase difficulty, move more slowly and hold for longer at the end of your range
Common mistakes to avoid:
- Avoid lifting your leg up too high so you twist your body
- Avoid holding tension in your shoulders and relax your upper body – the movement should all come from the hips
