Every individual has different fitness levels and physical ability so it is important to ensure you do the correct volume for you. An idea of a way to set up could be 3 sets of 10 reps.

Why do this exercise?
- Strengthens the tricep muscles
- Gives the arm a toned look with better definition

How to do this exercise:
1. Stand or sit with feet shoulder width apart for a large base of support and body neutral
2. If you are holding handheld weights, have these either 1 in each hands or holding on to a dumbbell with both hands
3. Squeeze your core
4. Move your hands to be straight above your head with wrists in neutral
5. Slowly, blend the elbows so the weight is behind your head
6. At the end of range you should feel a stretch in the triceps
7. Slowly straighten the elbows back to the original position
8. Repeat

Tips to improve:
- Keep your elbows tucked in and not pointing out
- Keep your wrists in a neutral position so they don’t bend
- To increase the difficulty, you can hold for longer at the end of range and increase the weight of the handheld weights

Common mistakes to avoid:
- Don’t arch your back. Keep your core engaged throughout
- Don’t lift too heavy weights. It is best to go for quality over quantity with this exercise
